Cyclist, 50, dies after collision with bus in Islington

A cyclist who died after being hit by a bus on Seven Sisters Road has been named as 50-year-old Abrajah Rafiq.

Met Police officers were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to reports of a collision involving a bus and cyclist was reported at around 12.30am last Saturday.

Mr Rafiq was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he died on Thursday. His family have been informed.

Police are appealing for witnesses and the investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Serious Collisions Investigations Unit.

The Met said officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area and recording dash-cam footage.
