A cyclist has tragically died following a crash in Tipperary last Wednesday.

The man, aged in his 40s, was seriously injured in the single vehicle collision at around 3.20pm on Sarsfield Street, Nenagh.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick for his injuries but has since passed away.

Gardai have now issued a renewed appeal for witnesses to the tragic incident.

A spokesman said: "Gardaí are continuing to investigate the traffic collision involving the cyclist that occurred at approximately 3:20pm on Wednesday, 18th November, 2020, at Sarsfield Street, Nenagh, County Tipperary.

"A technical examination of the scene has taken place.

"Gardaí at Nenagh are renewing their appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on Sarsfield Street from 3pm to 3:20pm, on 18th November 2020, to make this footage available to Gardaí.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Nenagh Garda Station on 067 50450, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
