Cyberpunk 2077 returns to PlayStation store with a warning

The sci-fi hit game Cyberpunk 2077 has returned to the PlayStation Store after it was made unavailable to buy online for nearly 200 days.

CD Projekt Red's record-breaking game, which was released in December, was only available on the PlayStation Store for one week before Sony made the decision to remove it and offer refunds to players.

The decision was made after players complained the game had too many glitches to be playable.

The game’s visual quality on base consoles was also not what many players were expecting.

The Polish developer took to Twitter to tell PS4 players that a free next-gen update will be made available for them in the second half of 2021.

They warned on the same thread that players may continue to experience performance issues as they continue to improve stability across all platforms.

Sony has also provided a warning in the PlayStation Store to players buying the game digitally. The warning states: "Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems."

Cyberpunk 2077 had been delayed multiple times before its release on December 10 last year.

When it finally was released, many players complained about numerous bugs, glitches and its visual appearance.

They also claimed it lacked key features expected of a role-playing game such as character customisation, freedom of choice and vehicle customization.

Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 is available on the PlayStation store for £39.99 which is £20 cheaper than when it was first released.
