The 2021 Game Awards has announced the nominees for all 30 categories this year.
The most anticipated of these categories is the Game of the Year award where voters decide what is categorically the best videogame to come out throughout the past year.
While Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't made the cut for Game of the Year, it has reached two other categories.
Cyberpunk 2077 had both a massive and controversial release back in December 2020.
The sci-fi game has received a nomination for Best RPG, in fact, it's the only Western game to be nominated in that category alongside Monster Hunter Rise, Scarlet Nexus, Shin Megami Tensei V, and Tales of Arise.
It has also been nominated for Best Score and Music where it's joined by Deathloop, Nier Replicant, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Artful Escape.
Unlike many other industry-based awards that are decided by a panel of a select few, the Game Awards acknowledges that videogames are a publicly-enjoyed phenomenon and therefore the public can have their say.
Members of the public are able to vote in all 30 categories from now until December 8 at 2am GMT.
But the winners aren't completely decided by the public, though there is still a major public influence.
The Game Awards website states: "Winners are determined by a blended vote between the voting jury (90%) and public fan voting (10%).
"Fans can vote for their favorite games on TheGameAwards.com and also via social media platforms in select categories. In China fans can vote on the winners via Bilibili. Fan voting closes on Wednesday, December 8 at 6 pm PT."
If you want to have your say on what game you want to win in all 30 categories this year, you can do so by heading over to the official Game Awards voting site.
