Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed once again

Cyberpunk 2077 – the hugely anticipated entry from the studio behind the Witcher 3 – has been delayed again, pushing back further from the September release.

The game will now be released on November 19, according to an update by CD Projekt Red.

Among other things, the announcement makes it clear that the game is essentially in a finished form in terms of content and gameplay, with all mechanics and features in place.

However, the game is supposedly huge and complex that Projekt Red says it needs more time to finalise everything to make sure they fix all the bugs upon release.

Cyberpunk has been in development now since 2013. It was first teased as a passing comment during The Witcher 3 and fans have been waiting for this game for a long time now.

The open-world RPG has had a pretty long and drawn out road to release, with the studio having to delay the game twice now.

It was first slated for an April release this year, which was then pushed back to September this year and now, finally, it has been pushed back again to release November 19.

Cyberpunk will now almost be unveiled within the same month as the PS5 and Xbox Series X next-gen consoles are slated for, and to this end, Projekt Red is allowing people who buy the PS4 or Xbox One version will have backwards compatible on both consoles.
