Top seed Sindhu, who struggled against Goh in the mixed team event, faced stiff resistance from the former world junior champion in singles too.
The 22-year-old Malaysian fought back from 12-15 in the first game. Winning seven of the last eight points, Goh moved to 19-15 before Sindhu drew level at 19-19. However, Goh capitalised on Sindhu's mistake to quickly win the first.
It was a see-saw battle in the second as Goh stayed close till 12-14 before Sindhu raised the tempo. Sindhu unleashed her smashes to surge ahead to 18-14 and then pocketed the game.
There was very little to separate the players till 11-10 in the decider. Sindhu then scored smash winners to take a 18-13 lead which proved decisive.
Sindhu will face Yeo Jia Min of Singapore in the semifinals.
