There’s a new app which lets you pay off chunks of your phone bill through your everyday purchases.
Airtime Rewards, a Manchester-based start-up, gives you up to 15% cashback with a range of restaurants, high-street stores and supermarkets which you can use to offset your phone bill.
Companies already on board include Boots, Caffe Nero, and Argos.
For example, a £50 shop in Waitrose could get you £2.50 off your phone bill or a £100 shop in Oliver Bonas would get you £10 towards your phone bill.
The company says: “Our active members are saving £10 each month with some eliminating their mobile bill entirely.”
You don’t have to do anything other than sign up for the app and input your details.
There are no links to use before you purchase or special codes to enter, it can track all your purchases through Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa and Mastercard and make sure you get the rewards you are meant to.
Currently all major UK mobile networks are catered for and it doesn’t matter if you pay-as-you-go or are on a contract.
