Hyperoptic is one of the UK’s fastest broadband providers, offering full-fibre speeds of up to one gigabit. That’s around 10 times faster than the national average, making it a solid choice for busy households and remote workers alike. The Independent’s team of deal experts is always on the lookout for the best broadband discounts. In this article, we’ve rounded up the best Hyperoptic promo codes and offers to help new customers shave pounds off their monthly broadband bill.
Ways to save at Hyperoptic
The Hyperoptic Switch Now offers
If you’re dissatisfied with your current contract with another broadband provider, you may be eligible for the “Switch Now” promotion. This offers you £300 credit to cover exit fees if you decide to switch to Hyperoptic while mid-contract. Best of all, Hyperoptic will speak to your ex-provider to cancel your current contract and handle any administrative work.
This offer qualifies for 150MB, 500MB or 1GB broadband packages on a 24-month contract. You’ll need to contact telesalesteam@hyperoptic.com with your final bill from your old provider to receive your credit.
Students always save
Firstly, if you’re a student, you need to know about Hyperoptic’s student plans. The Hyperoptic student discount saves you up to 15 per cent on rolling monthly contracts, with rates from as little as £24 per month for its basic 50Mb service. The monthly savings increase the faster you go, heading up to a £9 per month discount on the fastest 1Gb plan, taking the price from £52 per month down to just £43. You can also save 15 per cent on a rolling monthly contract.
Get a £50 gift card
Right now, when you switch to select Hyperoptic packages, you’ll get a free £50 gift card to spend at Amazon, John Lewis or Marks & Spencer. The offer is available when you sign up for a 150MB or 500MB plan for 24 months with the Hyperoptic promo code above.
Friend Referrals
Loyalty is rewarded at Hyperoptic. Existing customers can get up to £100 when they refer a friend. Earn up to £2,000 a year by referring up to 20 people.
Getting started couldn’t be easier:
- Log in or register – If you’re already a customer, head to your My Account and click the ‘Referrals’ tab. If not, just register online to get your unique referral link.
- Share your link – Send it to friends, family, colleagues or anyone eligible. They can use it to sign up for any Hyperoptic residential broadband package.
- Get rewarded – Once their broadband is active for 30 days, you’ll both receive a voucher worth up to £100. Rewards are sent within 90 days of activation.
Price match guarantee
Hyperoptic is so confident in its value, that if you find the same package cheaper elsewhere, it’ll match it providing it meets its criteria. The Hyperoptic price match promise covers just broadband or broadband and phone services, with the same service specifications at your residence.
To qualify for the price match, you’ll need to contact its customer service via phone, email or raise a ticket in your My Account within the first 30 days of service.
The Fair Fibre Plan
Hyperoptic has the Fair Fibre Plan, which offers discounted prices for those who need it most. Those on Universal Credit or other qualifying benefits could be eligible for fast 50Mb for just £15 a month, or superfast 150Mb for £20 a month.
Hyperoptic broadband packages
Whether you work from home or are a gamer and need super fast broadband, or no-frills internet works just fine for you, Hyperoptic has a range of packages to suit every home, business and budget. For those who want super speedy broadband, 24-month contracts are the way to go with the offer of three months free. However, if you’re looking for a little less commitment, the 12-month contracts are still fantastic ways to save.
When comparing broadband deals, don’t forget to check the small print for any mid-contract price rises. From April 2026, most providers, including Hyperoptic, will be adding a mid-contract price rise. This should be set out in exact pounds and pence, and not be based on future inflation, according to Ofcom guidelines. In Hyperoptic’s case, it’s £3 extra each month, which keeps it in line with competitors and still makes it one of the more affordable options.
The good news is that if you’re already a customer, this change won’t apply. It only applies to those who have taken out a contract from 3 June 2025.
