Customers urged to watch out for Conor McGregor website 'scam' after social media mishap

Customers have been urged to watch out after a rival website was launched following Conor McGregor's latest merchandise launch.

McGregor took to social media as he showed off his latest apparel for sale with a stylish grey jumper on sale.

And the Dubliner can be seen modelling the gear inside Crumlin boxing club with the sporty jumper will set customers back a hefty €70.95.

McGregor shared a post linking followers to the conormcgregor.com website where you can browse through all his merchandise, including the newly launched jumper.

But the UFC star shared a second twitter post with a spelling mistake linking people to comormcgregor.com, misspelling own first name, using an m instead of an n.

The domain previously did not link to a website but hours after the twitter post a website was launched selling 'Notorious' gear which is not licenced by McGregor.

And followers of McGregor spotted website and urged potential customers to take care.

One person said: "Someone already made a fake website to the misspelled webpage here.. don't fall for the scammer!! Real Conor page is under this misspelled tweet on his page (Conor instead of Comor)"

While another said: "This link is fake!"

The Irish Mirror has contacted McGregor's representatives for comment.
