Customers love £3.99 Aldi product that saves makeup from fading in masks and hot weather

Shoppers have given a resounding thumbs up to a brilliant bargain Aldi makeup which has been hailed as an alternative to high end products.

The £3.99 setting spray has proven a massive hit and is even said to rival a cult classic from Urban Decay.

Many punters are sick of seeing their carefully applied lipstick wiped away by face masks have given up wearing it altogether.

But a poster in the popular money-saving Facebook group of Lacura Makeup Setting Spray has come to the rescue - with others agreeing.

The spray has been credited for helping out in the pandemic and during the ongoing heatwave, reports the Daily Record.

In fact, it's believed to be so good that some have said the switch could mean they save around £22 each time they buy a setting spray.

The original poster said: "I will write reviews about food all day long but never really write them for non food items.

"However after being fed up of my make up rubbing off in my mask (have to wear for work) I decided to buy this setting spray on a whim. Wasn't expecting much and oh my days it is fab.

"I worse my mask for a couple of hours and when I took it off I half expected it to look like usual (half the contents of my make up inside) and there was nothing. Cannot recommend enough!"

Since then almost 400 people have liked the post and among the comments were posts like: "I pay £30 for an Urban Decay setting spray so if this is any good, we could all save a pretty penny x"

One person was introduced to it by a professional and said: "My make-up artist swears by it, she won't use anything else !"

"Good to know I buy a urban decay one and I’m sure I’d save a fortune. Will have to try. How much is it": said a fan of the Urban Decay Setting Spray.

One woman said "It’s fab isn’t. I’ve been at a carnival all day in this hot sunshine, & my make up has hardly moved"

A slightly more reluctant customer said: "I was sceptical especially as I wear glasses and end up with foundation on the nose bride on my glasses- well not anymore A+. Please keep it in store Aldi."

"Totally agree! I wore this all day yesterday and last night for a hen do with a mask on and it didn't rub off at all! Absolutely fantastic for 3.99!", said another happy customer.

One or two comments said that they had issues with white spots and too much of the product on their faces but the original poster said that they got the best results by shaking well and spraying from a distance.
