Customers at Apple undergo checks with temperature gun before being allowed inside

Customers shopping at Apple are being given temperature checks before being allowed inside.

Staff could be seen using a temperature gun on customers waiting in a queue outside the intu Trafford Centre branch.

The Apple workers were all wearing masks, while most shoppers in the queue were also wearing face coverings.

Around 30 customers could be seen waiting outside the shop this morning.

One member of staff could be seen checking customers using the gun, which only took a few minutes.

Apple is among the non-essential shops re-opening today as the government lifted some lockdown rules.

The Trafford Centre opened its doors to shoppers again at 10am this morning.

Social distancing measures have been introduced at the shopping mall, with visitors asked to keep a 2m distance from each other.

Plastic screens have been set up around tills as well as floor markers indicating 2m distances.

Hand sanitiser stations have also been set up around the shopping centre.

The Arndale centre, in Manchester city centre, The Rock, Merseyway in Stockport, and other shopping centres around the region re-open today.
