Custom House Square 2022: Who is headlining this year's CHSq festival

One of Northern Ireland's most popular music festivals is back and is guaranteed to put on some spectacular shows.

CHSq 2022 kicks off at Custom House Square on Sunday, August 7, continuing a fantastic summer of music in Belfast.

With nine huge names across dance, rock and pop all coming to the city over the next two weeks, Belfast is going to buzzing as festival season draws to a close.

Here is the full line up for CHSq 2022:

Madness

Kicking off this year's Custom House Square festival, English ska band Madness is set to put on a brilliant performance.

Madness has had 15 singles reach the UK top ten, including "One Step Beyond", "Baggy Trousers" and "It Must Be Love".

Catch them on Sunday, August 7.

Simple Minds

Simple Minds celebrate 40 iconic years by embarking upon a major world tour coupled with the release of a career-spanning compilation ‘40: The Best Of – 1979-2019‘.

The band will play Custom House Square Tuesday, August 9.

Ben Nicky

Dance artist Ben Nicky has become a household name in Belfast for his incredible shows which combine pyrotechnics with exhilarating dance music.

He has two sold-out CHSq gigs on August 12 and August 13.

Tom Grennan

English singer-songwriter Tom Grennan is set to play his biggest Belfast show to date at Custom House Square.

He takes to the stage on August 18 with a number of special guests.

Van Morrison

Van Morrison is returning to his hometown for a huge outdoor gig.

The 76-year-old singer-songwriter will perform a special headline show at Custom House Square on Friday, August 19 where he will be joined by some very special guests.

Having been on the road as a travelling musician at the tender age of 15, Van drew much of his inspiration for his musical career whilst listening to his father's collection of blues, country and gospel.

Stiff Little Fingers with The Undertones

Stiff Little Fingers are back with their own hometown fest!

Special guests this year are The Undertones, The Selecter, Ricky Warwick, and you - the audience.

Expect this to be a massive night for all that's good about Northern Irish music on August 20.

Stereophonics

Rock sensations Stereophonics return to Northern Ireland with a headline show at Custom House Square, Belfast on Wednesday, August 24 2022 as part of CHSq.

As the band celebrated their 25th year, Stereophonics released their new Number One charting album ‘Oochya!’, on 4th March 2022 via Stylus Records through Ignition Records Ltd.

Paolo Nutini,

Paolo Nutini is set to make a return to Belfast with a headline show.

The Scottish singer-songwriter is performing at Custom House Square, Belfast on Thursday, August 25.

The gig is now sold-out.

Ryan McMullan

The Northern Irish artist - who in recent years has become one of the biggest acts to emerge from this country - will play at Custom House Square on August 27.

In the past year, Ryan has played two sold-out Belsonic shows at Ormeau Park alongside Dermot Kennedy, as well as two nights at the Waterfront Hall, and a sell-out Irish Tour.
