Custom bikes stolen from boys by machete-wielding thieves in Leeds park

Machete-wielding thieves stole two bikes from a group of teenagers at a park in Leeds on Sunday morning (August 9).

Police are appealing for witnesses to find the three men, who stole two bikes from the four 16-year-olds. The boys were camping out at Micklefield Skate Park, Micklefield, in the early hours of the morning.

The three men woke up the teenagers by forcing their way into their tent, with one wielding a machete and demanding their phones and bikes.

The two bikes stolen were both custom built, and police have released images of both below.

None of the teenagers were injured, but they were all left shocked by the ordeal.

The male with the machete is described as 5’9” tall, white and possibly with blonde hair. He was of slim build and wearing black clothing (including a hooded top).

The second male is described as 6ft tall, white and possibly dark curly hair. He was also wearing black clothes including a light shell jacket and black tracksuit bottoms. He had a hood on.

The third male was white and wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up. He had a balaclava on. The first two had face masks, covering the lower half of their faces from their noses to their chins.

Anyone with information about the incident or who has information about the bikes is asked to call Leeds District Crime Team on 101 quoting crime reference 13200398779.
