Maura Higgins baffles fans with 'waxwork' selfie but Curtis is a huge fan

Love Island fans found themselves rejoicing on Sunday as Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard appeared to confirm they are still madly in love with each other.

Fans had feared that the 28-year-old Irish beauty and the 23-year-old dance professional had split up as they had not been spotted together in days.

However, the pair put fears to rest with an Instagram love in - as Maura shared some divisive photos of herself enjoying a night out in London.

Posing a sizzling red leather ensemble, and clutching a pristine white YSL handbag, the reality star posed with immaculately conditioned hair and suspiciously smooth make-up.

“I’m back,” the reality babe wrote - alongside a black heart emoji.

Boyfriend Curtis was one of the first to react to the photo, writing: “Wow you look incredible,” along with a blowing kiss emoji.

Maura replied with another black heart emoji - and the exchange sent fans wild as they accepted this as proof the two were still together.

On fan gushed: “love this. Made my day. My winners from the show,” while another wrote: “omg was s***ting it I thought I broke up.”

While many were thrilled to see the pair flirting shamelessly on Instagram, many others were distressed by Maura’s “waxwork” appearance in the photos - with her incredibly smooth, shiny skin causing some debate.

“Thought this was a wax doll,” one follower commented, as another wrote: “tell me she don’t look like a wax figure rn.”

Others suggested there had been overuse of filters and photoshop - with one writing: “So filtered it’s barely a photo,” another writing: “photoshop through the roof,” and a further typing: “Doesn't even look like her in this pic.”

However others liked the reality stars’ latest appearance, writing: “Wow... You're so beautiful... Look like a doll.”

But another urged a more natural appearance, saying: “Just be you . Don’t need the filters.”
