High street giant Currys PC World has slashed the price of fans as the mercury hits 35C across the UK.
The retailer revealed it has seen a massive 200% increase in fan sales this week as Brits battle to stay cool as the heatwave rolls on.
One of the most popular fans being snapped up by customers has been the state of the art Dyson Hot & Cool fan heater (£349) that boasts a powerful, bladeless high velocity air flow and the Logik Pedestal Fan (£44.99) that operates a three speed setting and adjustable pedestal.
Speaking about the huge price jump Category Director for Domestic Appliances at Dixons Carphone, Lara Brittain, said “Brits are racing to keep cool both day and night with sales of fans at Currys PC World soaring like the temperatures, up 200% yesterday – the second biggest day of fan sales in our history.
"The Dyson Hot & Cool Fan Heater along with the Logik Pedestal Fan are our most popular buys, with 23,000 views online in the last 24 hours alone.”
With the heatwave set to continue throughout the month, with temperatures predicted to reach 37C which could make it the hottest July days on record, if you haven't bought a fan yet, you might want to - fast.
