OAKLAND, Calif. _ The Golden State Warriors cruised to a 110-93 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday at Oracle Arena for a simple reason. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are really good at basketball. The Warriors also nearly have a fully healthy roster.
With Curry finishing with 20 points on 6-of-16 shooting and 3-of-9 from 3-point range, he became the fifth player in franchise history to eclipse 15,000 career points along with Wilt Chamberlain (17,783), Rick Barry (16,447), Paul Arizin (16,266) and Chris Mullin (16,235).
With Durant finishing with 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting, he eclipsed former Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird for 33rd place on the NBA's all-time scoring list (21,791). Durant trails closely behind former NBA point guard and Oakland native Gary Payton (21,813). Thompson added 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Though he went 1-of-4 from 3-point range, Thompson otherwise offered a complete game with three steals and a block.
With veteran reserves Andre Iguodala (left hip tightness) and Shaun Livingston (pelvic contusion) back from their respective injuries, the Warriors fielded a nearly complete team for the first time since Oct. 26. The bench finished with a combined 36 points, with Jonas Jerebko (16 points on 5-of-10 shooting overall, 4-of-7 from 3-point range) and Iguodala (10 points on 3-of-3 shooting from the perimeter).
The Warriors (21-10) cemented a two-game winning streak, while the Grizzlies (16-14) struggled without star point guard Mike Conley (left hamstring soreness). Memphis reserve and ex-Warrior Omri Casspi finished with a team-leading 20 points in 21 minutes off the bench.
