Current status of Eagles’ free agents who remain unsigned

NFL free agency is well in the rearview mirror and several guys who were on the Philadelphia Eagles roster last season are struggling to find homes. With training camps around the league either opened or set to open, here’s an update on the Eagles’ free agents from last season who remain unsigned.

RB Jay Ajayi

Ajayi, probably one of the Eagles’ biggest free agents, has had a quiet and disappointing offseason. The former Eagles running back made a free-agent visit to the Colts in late March, but other than that, the market’s been quiet for the 25-year-old back.

Chance Warmack

Warmack, a former first-round draft choice for the Tennessee Titans, was a reserve for the Philadelphia Eagles the previous two seasons but has yet to find a new team.

Mike Wallace

During the 2018 offseason, Wallace signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Eagles, but his presence was short-lived. In Week 2, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Wallace suffered a fractured fibula and was expected to miss a few weeks, but ended up being placed on injured reserve in September and came back off in December. Wallace is another guy who’s generated almost no interest this offseason.

Markus Wheaton

Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles fully guaranteed Wheaton’s salary for 2018 and paid him $880,000 for two offensive snaps and three total plays. Just like Wallace, Wheaton hasn’t received much interest on the open market.

Corey Graham

Graham spent last season with the Eagles and got significant reps because of all the injuries in the secondary. When the Eagles signed Andrew Sendejo, Graham was no longer an option.

Kaleb Johnson

The former Rutgers star is currently playing guard for the Baltimore Brigade of the Arena Football League.
