Curbs eased further for city hairdressers, salons

Barber shops and hair salons in shopping malls in Bangkok are allowed to reopen, but they must limit service hours per customer to no more than two hours, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) said on Saturday.

Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwan- muang said some of the restrictions on Barber shops and hair salons located in department stores and similar venue can now ease.

However, the businesses still are required to limit their service hours to two hours per client and appointments must be made in advance.

The announcement, effective until Sept 30 or further notice is given, is in line with the easing of restrictions approved by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration's (CCSA) operation centre and approved by the BMA's communicable disease committee.

Barber shops and hair salons were allowed to reopen on Sept 1, but services were limited to one hour per client.
