“Curb Your Enthusiasm” is ready to rise from the ashes.
Larry David’s acclaimed comedy series will return for its 11th season in October, HBO announced Monday, more than 18 months since it wrapped its 10th season in March 2020 with coffee shop Latte Larry’s burning to the ground.
“Believe me, I’m as upset about this as you are,” David joked when HBO announced the show’s renewal last year. “One day I can only hope that HBO will come to their senses and grant me the cancellation I so richly deserve.”
Few details have been teased about the return of “Curb,” but Richard Lewis announced in April that he would be returning to the series despite multiple shoulder and back surgeries that kept him off set last season.
Star Jeff Garlin told The Ringer that COVID will barely be mentioned in the upcoming season.
“The first episode it touches on, there’s a couple of things,” he said on the “10 Questions with Kyle Brandt” podcast. “But it’s a post-COVID world in ‘Curb.’”
The series, which also stars Cheryl Hines and Susie Essman, ran for eight seasons between 2000 and 2011, then was revived in 2017.
