'Curb Your Enthusiasm' returning for 10th season

The return of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will not be short-lived.

The beloved comedy series created by and starring Larry David was renewed for a 10th season, HBO announced Thursday.

"As I've said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so," David said in a statement.

"Curb" returned for its ninth season earlier this year, ending a six-year break following its eighth season. The series, which began in 2000, centers on an exaggerated version of David as he goes through life as a somewhat retired TV writer.

The 70-year-old David _ who also co-created "Seinfeld" with Jerry Seinfeld _ previously hadn't confirmed whether there would be a 10th season.

The ninth season was well-received by critics and viewers alike, though it suffered a dip in ratings compared to Season 8.

"Curb" went on a prolonged halt following that eighth season, which wrapped up in 2011, before HBO and David announced its return in June 2016 to much fanfare.

Production for the new season begins in the spring.
