Cunard's Queen Elizabeth cruise liner is returning to Liverpool this weekend

Liverpool Cruise Terminal will welcome the return of the iconic Queen Elizabeth liner this weekend.

The enormous vessel's will come to Liverpool just weeks after it returned from a 17-month break during the pandemic.

The Queen Elizabeth is 964.5ft long and can hold up to 2,081 guests and 1,005 crew members. It has 12 decks and is home to a large theatre, a games deck, a yacht club, play zone, several pools and more.

The liner, which joins a host of other vessels being welcomed back to Liverpool this year, will arrive for the first time this year on Sunday, August 29.

A visit by one of the iconic Cunard vessels always plays a highly significant role in Liverpool’s cruise season, as Cunard was founded in Liverpool in 1839 and the city was home to its Head Office for nearly 130 years.

Queen Elizabeth will visit the city a number of times this year, including three more times in September. Below are the dates you’ll be able to see the liner at Liverpool Cruise Terminal.

  • Sunday, August 29

  • Monday, September 6

  • Sunday, September 12

  • Saturday, September 18

  • Sunday, October 10
