Smart Osadolor brings a wealth of experience to the Cumnock attack – and hopefully goals in abundance.
The 30-year-old Nigerian striker has wasted no time in exciting the Townhead faithful after signing from Elgin City.
And he showed he has brought his shooting boots by netting a double as ‘Nock rounded off their preparations for the West of Scotland League Premier Division with a 2-1 win over Gretna FC 2008.
Osadolor is delighted to have signed and said: “I’m happy to get this sorted and can’t wait for the next chapter and new season with Cumnock.”
The speedy hitman was a favourite at Elgin while he has been around the block since starting out with Partick Thistle Under-20s in 2010.
He tasted Ayrshire football at Irvine Vics before going senior with Annan Athletic, Stranraer, Clyde, Queen’s Park and Albion Rovers.
Smart played a key role in helping Rovers dodge a Pyramid play-off final before injuries saw him fall down the pecking order in Coatbridge.
Recalling the Great Escape, Osadolor said: “There was 100 years of history that could have been lost because of the club going out of the league.
“I always thought we would do it and anyone that knows me always calls me Mr Positive.
“I take a lot of positives from my time at the club and will always remember that support.”
