Cumbernauld Esso petrol garage robbery - police release CCTV images of man in his 50s

Police have launched a CCTV appeal to help trace a man who could have information to help investigations into a robbery.

The Esso petrol garage on Cumbernauld Road was robbed at 1.40am on Friday, April 24.

The man in the images is described as being white, of a medium build and in his early 50s.

He can be seen to be wearing a black long sleeved top, black running style trousers with a bright yellow stripe, a black face mask and the top of his head is covered.

PC Ross McLachlan, of Helen Street Police Office, said: “We are eager to talk to the man in these images as we believe he may have information that can help with our enquiry and would urge anyone who may recognise him to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0225 of 24 April, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
