Cumbernauld Colts boss James Orr is missing football, but says it doesn’t compare to keeping people safe.
Lowland League representatives are meeting with the Scottish FA tomorrow to discuss where they go from here, and Orr says he doesn’t know the right answer, but needs to make sure his players and their families are safe.
He said: “It’s tough to figure out what’s the right thing to do. There are so many boys I’m speaking to who say they won’t go back to football, but it’s not the be-all and end-all.
“It’s something I miss a lot, it’s something the players miss, people miss watching it, and it’s so important to Scotland, but we all need to play our part in making sure we take care of each other.
“Whether we like it or not, football is going to come last.”
Orr added: “I’ve spoken to half a dozen managers and every one of them have a different opinion. People are angry, others understand, and I’m middle of the road.
“Is it the right thing to go back and play, can we still take care of our players and can you play at a good level to make sure the fitness is back?
“When they have the meeting we’ll soon find out what it’s going to be – will the top half play each other and finish the league, nobody actually knows.
“I think it’s so hard for everyone to keep motivated and committed when you don’t have a date to go towards.”
