@culturegeek – Culture Geek
I've noticed a few of our Twitter followers have invested in new specs. Well, that was until I realised they've been pasting glasses onto their avatars via Twibbon. It's all in aid of Culture Geek, which helps cultural organisations stay relevant to digital savvy audiences through training, events and publications. They hosted a conference just today – follow all the developments via #culturegeek.
@heritageopenday – Heritage Open Days
Loyd Grossman made his debut on the network this week, writing all about this weekend's Heritage Open Days. The event runs until Sunday 9 September, celebrating England's architecture and culture by giving free access to places that are usually closed to the public or charge admission. Make sure you and your family get out and about.
@IfYouOnly – If You Only...
As the account says itself: "If you only read one thing today, make it this – a single piece of great writing every day." Perfect for those who suffer from Twitter overload, why not try this one on for size? One link, one unmissable read; this daily digest knows how to pick'em so you don't have to.
@amadigital – The Arts Marketing Association staff
The AMA is a non-profit organisation that provides support and professional development to arts marketers and those working in and around audience engagement. Knowledge Bank content manager Pamela Pfrommer took part in our live chat this week, which focused on marketing new seasons in the arts – read all about it here.
@TheBurningHouse – The Burning House
For something completely different, do follow this neat little project blog, which asks: if your house was burning, what would you take with you? "Think of it as an interview condensed into one question," says the site as people from all over the world submit what they would save in picture form. Would you take anything arts or culture with you?
