Belfast's annual Culture Night event has been cancelled this year, due to measures to stop the spread of Coronavirus.
The event, which sees hundreds of performers and collectives come together to showcase the talent of Northern Ireland, was due to take place on Friday, September 18.
However, due to "uncertainty" about the effects of Coronavirus and the restrictions that may be in place in the future, the organisers of the festival have today announced that it will be cancelled.
Despite the news, Culture Night have indicated that an "online celebration" may be possible, to replace the physical festival.
In a statement, Culture Night Belfast said: "To all our Culture Night Belfast friends and supporters:
"We are sad to have to tell you that Culture Night Belfast 2020, originally scheduled for September 18th, has been cancelled. It's been a really sad decision to make as we know Culture Night is a highlight of the year for so many of you.
"We hate to disappoint you all but given the uncertainty of the current situation, and putting your health and well-being first, we believe this is the best course of action to take.
"We are looking at other possibilities, including an online celebration of Culture Night in September, and will keep you posted on our plans. We hope to see you all in 2021 and in the meantime stay safe and well and keep on supporting our local arts and culture.
"One day we will all be together again.
