Are you interested in how Leeds can develop a voice online that can influence the shape and perceptions of the city, with or without help from traditional sources of power and influence?
Culture blog The Culture Vulture is putting together what organiser Emma Bearman says is 'an ongoing conversation about how we collectively orchestrate our voices, and develop our stories to help support each other see Leeds become the best it can be'.
The event, at the Round Foundry in Holbeck Urban Village, will take place between noon to 4pm on September 3 and follows a number of recent online debates about Leeds, which can be found here and here.
Emma said that there is an increasing number of bloggers, tweeters and people using social media to get their message across and put together a narrative on Leeds as a city. She said:
"It's an event to help us articulate what we feel passionate about and connecting with others who share our views. Some people want action, some people want to network, some people just want a conversation.
"Does your city delight you? Do you think it should? How visible is the great stuff that is happening? What role might you like to play? How can meeting likeminded people help us to realise what we want?"
