Cult horror theatre show Ghost Stories will return to the West End

Hit horror theatre show Ghost Stories is set to return to the West End.

Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson’s play will open at the Ambassadors Theatre in October following an extended run the Lyric Hammersmith.

The plot of Ghost Stories is shrouded in secrecy, as audience members are asked to keep the play’s twists to themselves. It follows a professor, Dr Goodman, as he delivers a lecture about three people who claimed to have had supernatural experiences.

Casting for the transfer is yet to be announced.

The Standard’s latest review of the show said it will "satisfy theatregoers eager to conspire in its hammy horror".

Ghost Stories was made into a film in 2017, starring Nyman as the professor, alongside Paul Whitehouse, Martin Freeman and Alex Lawther.

The original production premiered at the Lyric in 2010, before running in the West End for five years and touring the world.

Ghost Stories will run at the Ambassadors Theatre from October 9-January 4.
