Dec. 03--The Chicago Cubs secured another revenue stream Wednesday by announcing they reached an agreement with Wintrust to be their official banking partner.
Wintrust will have a strong presence in the Wrigleyville community, starting with the Wintrust sign on top of the left field video board for the 2015 season and will include exclusive ATM rights within Wrigley Field and rotational signage behind home plate. Wintrust also will have signage at Cubs Park in Mesa, Ariz., and eventual naming rights at Gate D at the corner of Addison and Sheffield avenues, to be named "The Wintust Gate" once renovation is complete.
"It was important for us to find a strong local player for our Financial Legacy Partner," Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts said in a statement. "This Legacy Partnership pairs these two Chicago institutions for years to come, and we know our fans will support Wintrust's role as a critical partner in helping the team achieve its goals of winning a World Series, saving Wrigley Field and being a good neighbor. Wintrust is a perfect fit for us."
Wintrust also will play a role in Cubs Charities and the annual Cubs Convention.
Wintrust becomes the fifth Legacy Partner of the Chicago Cubs, who have struck deals with Anheuser-Busch, ATI Physical Therapy, Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Under Armour.
