Cubs fend off Reds for 7-5 victory

CHICAGO _ Ben Zobrist, who returned after missing the last three starts with lower back stiffness, singled during a five-run second inning and ripped a double and scored in the third Wednesday night as the Cubs outlasted the Reds, 7-5, at warm and windy Wrigley Field.
