Cubs’ Joc Pederson bat-flipped on what he thought was a home run. It was not.

You can certainly get why Joc Pederson wanted this hit to be a walk-off home run so badly that he did a premature celebration bat-flip before it turned out not to be a dinger.

It would have been a game-winner against his former team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, who chose not to re-sign him after the 2020 season, so maybe the Chicago Cubs outfielder wanted to stick it to the franchise.

Alas. But it made for a fantastic highlight, especially because the Cubs won in extra innings anyway, and this was a sac fly to tie up the game. So it’s not that bad!

Too good.
