With a number of high-priced, fan-favorite players leaving the team, Cubs followers have been complaining about the team apparently trying to cut costs.

Those fans, however, will have to dig deep whenever the gates at Wrigley Field reopen. A cost survey by TN Bets said the Cubs had the most-expensive fan experience in Major League Baseball at $109.78 per person. That figure includes the price of one general admission ticket, two beers, a hot dog and the cost of parking.

The Boston Red Sox were second at $96.62, and the New York Yankees were No. 3 at $95.91. The Diamondbacks had the lowest price per MLB game at $46.38.

The White Sox at No. 12 were closer to the middle of the pack, with a cost of $66.58 per game.

Other costs for Chicago teams were:

  • The Bears ranked 9th in the NFL with an average price of $176.15 to attend the game.
  • The Bulls ranked 5th in the NBA with an average price of $154.01 to attend the game.
  • The Blackhawks ranked 4th in the NHL with an average price of $153.63 to attend the game.
  • All 5 professional sports teams ticket price rank above the league average.

The New York Knicks had the priciest experience of North America’s four major men’s leagues at $260.38 per game. The Las Vegas Raiders topped the NFL at $236.97 and the New York Rangers had the highest NHL cost at $182.43.
