Cubs Game Day: Comfort factor

Aug. 12--Manager Joe Maddon believes the Chicago Cubs will get a more consistent effort Tuesday night from starting pitcher Dan Haren in his second start since being traded from the Miami Marlins.

Haren will be working with catcher Miguel Montero for the first time since they worked together for three seasons (2008-2010) with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Haren, who hopes to extend the Cubs' winning streak to five games, will face Milwaukee's Taylor Jungmann.

Haren was charged with four runs in his last start Wednesday at Pittsburgh but was victimized by shoddy defense.

"We kind of messed that game up," Maddon said. "I'm curious to see how he pitches tonight. I know he'll be more comfortable. I know he'll be more rested. Hopefully he can get more deeper into that game.

"He's a solid, six-plus (inning) kind of guy. Maye the familiarity with Miggy will help him a bit, but I believe he'll be more comfortable, and I want to see that. I have a lot of respect for this guy. He's been good for a long time."

Here's the Cubs' lineup against the Brewers and Taylor Jungmann:

Dexter Fowler cf

Kyle Schwarber lf

Chris Coghlan 2b

Anthony Rizzo 1b

Kris Bryant 3b

Jorge Soler rf

Miguel Montero c

Dan Haren p

Addison Russell ss
