Cubs finalize 30-man roster for Opening Day

Opening Day is just one day away and fans now know who will be on the field when the Brewers come to town Friday. The Cubs finalized their final 30-man roster and three-man taxi squad on Thursday.

The Cubs’ roster features 16 pitchers and 14 position players.

Team rosters will decrease to 28 after two weeks, then to 26 two weeks after that. According to MLB’s rules for the 2020 season, teams will be permitted to add a 27th player for doubleheaders.
