Cubs fan built a majestic beer-can pyramid during blowout loss

It takes some creativity to remain entertained during a blowout baseball game, especially if your team is losing.

Cubs fans who made the trip to Atlanta on Monday watched as the team made six errors and trailed the Braves 8-0 heading into the ninth inning.

Rather than pay much attention to that lackluster performance, one Cubs fan teamed up with fellow spectators in the outfield stands and built an enormous beer-can pyramid.

Look at this thing — it’s glorious.

In all, there were 44 beers stacked up in that pyramid. I’m not sure what the MLB record for largest beer pyramid is, but that had to come close.

Unfortunately, the structure was not built to support a 45th can.

Nooooo. It was so promising.

I guess it served as a great metaphor for the Cubs’ showing on Monday. They lost, 8-0.
