July 01--Despite a late five-game losing streak and issues involving the back end of their rotation and clutch hitting, the Chicago Cubs managed a 14-13 record in June.
They benefited from a four-game winning streak and taking four of five from Detroit and Cincinnati earlier in the month.
The pitching staff posted a 3.15 ERA despite the struggles of Kyle Hendricks and Tsuyoshi Wada. The offense batted .250 with a .232 batting average with runners in scoring position.
