Cubs announcer zings the Astros with a sign-stealing barb

Spring training isn’t just for the players to warm up for the season. It’s apparently also a time for baseball announcers to try out some material about the Houston Astros and the cheating scandal we won’t stop hearing about all year.

Chicago Cubs color commentator Jim Deshaies — who actually played for the Astros during his career — delivered this zinger while calling the Cubs’ spring game against the Texas Rangers: “I was going to suggest the Astros, with all the booing, could wear earplugs. But if you do that, you can’t hear the trash can.”

I don’t think this is the last time we’ll hear something like this:
