The Cubs and White Sox will get an early look at each other. Or a look at prospects and backups.
The teams will meet in spring training games on March 6 and March 13. Major League Baseball on Monday released the spring training schedules for 2020.
The White Sox open Feb. 22 against the Angels, while the Cubs will play the Athletics on the same day.
The Sox close the spring schedule against the Diamondbacks on March 22, and the Cubs will play the Padres a day later on March 23.
The regular season begins March 26, the earliest start in MLB history. The White Sox open the season against the Royals at Guaranteed Rate Field, and the Cubs begin on the road against the Brewers at Miller Park. The Cubs home opener is March 30 against the Pirates.
