Cubby the Curious Bear is the crowdsurfing star of the Argos Christmas advert

The Argos Christmas advert has arrived and the star of the show is a crowdsurfing bear named Cubby the Curious Bear.

While a father and daughter duo perform a drum-infused gig in their kitchen, which quickly transforms into a concert venue, Argos is hoping one item will capture the imagination of viewers.

The advert is set to air during Coronation Street and Gogglebox tonight and Argos says Cubby the Curious Bear is set to be a major Christmas hit.

Argos says of the furry fan: " In a scene-stealing moment, Cubby the Curious Bear – expected to be one of the most popular toys this year – leaps off the stage and crowd surfs."

Cubby the Curious Bear is one of the FurReal range of toys, which also includes parrots, dogs and tigers.

Priced at a hefty £70, Cubby is an interactive toy that can play peek-a-boo, dance and even talk in his own babbling language. Children can feed him a bottle and at night he will close his eyes and make sleeping sounds. You can buy him here.

He also moves his ears, mouth and arms - but there is nothing about gatecrashing gigs and crowdsurfing in the product information.

Cubby is not the only Argos product starring in the advert. The £7 TU unicorn slippers also make an appearance on the feet of the young girl who wants a drum set for Christmas.

The drum set is also available and is the most expensive item to be showcased in the advert at a price of £269.99. A junior three-piece kit is more affordable at £79.99.

Argos is hoping the cute teddy bear and unicorn slippers will drum up some business in the run up to Christmas and has launched the advert before high street rivals such as Debenhams, John Lewis and supermarkets such as Sainsbury's.

You can see the advert on 1 November during Coronation Street and Gogglebox.
