CTA Blue Line service resumes after medical emergency at O’Hare

CTA Blue Line service was suspended between O’Hare and Rosemont because of a sick customer on June 10, 2019.

The Chicago Transit Authority’s Blue Line trains are running again after an employee got sick Monday morning.

CTA spokesman Jon Kaplan said an employee suffered a medical emergency about 9:10 a.m. at the O’Hare terminal. The employee did not make contact with a train or the electrified third rail and power to the tracks was not cut.

Service was suspended between O’Hare and Rosemont, but normal train movement was resuming with residual delays about 10 a.m., according to the transit agency.

The employee was taken to Resurrection Medical Center, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt. Their condition was not immediately known.
