Everton agree £14m deal with CSKA Moscow for permanent transfer of Nikola Vlasic

CSKA Moscow have confirmed the signing of Nikola Vlasic from Everton on a five-year contract in a deal initially understood to be worth £14m.

Bill Kenwright and Marcel Brands have also negotiated a sell-on fee that will activate upon Vlasic's next move.

Vlasic joined Everton from Hadjuk Split for £10m in the summer of 2017 and made 19 appearances during his first campaign on Merseyside.

He was farmed out on loan to the Russian outfit last term and largely impressed, scoring the winner against Real Madrid in a Champions League group game. He made 31 appearances overall and netted eight goals.

Earlier this week Vlasic's agent Tonci Martic revealed his client was in talks with CSKA to turn his spell into a permanent switch.

“I can’t confirm that CSKA and Everton have reached an agreement for Vlasic," Martic said when questioned about the growing reports that a deal was close.

"All I can say is Nikola and CSKA are in talks and we are negotiating.”

Moscow have now revealed a permanent deal via social media.

It is understood Everton and CSKA have not yet agreed a deal but the Croatian is set to sign in the near future.
