Crystal Palace youngster sends 'dream come true' message after signing professional contract

17-year-old academy starlet David Ozoh has signed a professional deal with Crystal Palace.

Ozoh played an important part in the Eagles' under-18's side last-term as the midfielder made 28 appearances for Rob Quinn's team, finding the net on two occasions.

His performances also saw Ozoh rewarded with three appearances in the club's under 23's team under Paddy McCarthy and subsequently a place in the pre-season tour squad in Australia and Singapore.

Having signed for the club at just eight years of age, Ozoh joins the likes of Ryan Bartley, Maliq Cadogan and Joe Sheridan to have recently signed a professional deal with the club.

Upon signing the deal he claimed: "It’s a dream come true to finally put pen to paper on this pro deal. I’ve been dreaming of this since I was a little kid and to have finally done it is a great thing. It’s onwards and upwards from here.”

Quinn also added: "David is a talented midfielder with a determined attitude. He has been at the club for many years and has worked hard to secure his first professional contract.

"He is a fantastic and humble individual, who will use this achievement to push on in the season ahead and beyond.”
