Crystal Palace XI vs Dynamo Kyiv: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Conference League today

Oliver Glasner has named a strong Crystal Palace squad to face Dynamo Kyiv in the Conference League.

Fit-again Ismaila Sarr makes the bench for the Eagles, while Adam Wharton is fit enough to start. Summer signing Borna Sosa joins him in the XI, while Jean-Philippe Mateta starts up top after receiving his first France call-up earlier in the day.

With Sarr back from a hamstring injury and on the scoresheet, Palace extended their unbeaten run across all competitions to 18 games with a dramatic 2-1 home win over Liverpool in the Premier League at the weekend.

Oliver Glasner was able to call upon Sarr as well as summer signing Yeremy Pino, who was withdrawn at half-time against West Ham the week before. With Wharton also back to fitness following a groin issue, Palace are at close to full strength for their trip to Poland.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, Dynamo Kyiv will host Palace at the Lublin Arena in Poland for the Eagles’ first-ever major European fixture.

Dynamo Kyiv have enjoyed a similarly strong start to the season and are also unbeaten, sitting just two points behind league leaders Shakhtar Donetsk.

Cheick Doucoure, Chadi Riad and Caleb Kporha all remain long-term absentees for Palace, while goalkeeper Walter Benitez has missed the last two games having dislocated his finger during their penalty shootout victory over Millwall in the Carabao Cup.

Glasner has previously complained about how his squad will handle playing two games a week after struggling to make signings in the summer transfer market.

However, with a fully-fit and firing starting XI to pick from against Dynamo Kyiv, he will be confident that Palace can start their European campaign on the front foot.

Crystal Palace XI: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Sosa, Wharton, Hughes, Kamada, Munoz; Pino, Mateta

Subs: Benitez, Matthews, Clyne, Canvot, Mitchell, Cardines, Lerma, Devenny, Esse, Uche, Nketiah, Sarr

Injured: Doucoure (knee), Riad (knee), Kporha (back)

Time and date: 5:45pm BST today, Thursday October 2, 2025

How to watch: TNT Sports

Venue: Lublin Arena, Poland
