Marko Arnautovic is fit to return to the West Ham matchday squad but only warrants a place among the substitutes here at Crystal Palace.
The Austrian put an end to weeks of speculation over his future at the club by signing a one-year contract extension last month following a failed move to China.
Having made his return in the 3-0 defeat at Wolves, Arnautovic was forced off through injury and missed the 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Monday night.
Ahead of the London derby at Selhurst Park, Manuel Pellegrini said of last season's top scorer: "He is a player who makes a difference and important for our team.
“He needs to recover his best form after not playing and his last injury and I hope he will be an important player for the remainder of the season."
Following the performance against the Premier League leaders at London Stadium, Pellegrini sends out the same side here in south London, looking for consecutive League wins for the first time in 2019 as Ryan Fredericks gets another chance to wrestle the right-back spot from Pablo Zabaleta on a permanent basis.
