Tottenham booked their place in next season's Europa League with an edgy 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace ended a run of seven straight defeats.
Spurs settled into the contest better and made that count 11 minutes in when Giovani Lo Celso slipped in Harry Kane, whose smart footwork bought a yard before he fired low past Vicente Guaita in the Palace goal.
But Roy Hodgson's men didn't look like a side coming off a run of losses and shaded possession in the first period with Jeffrey Schlupp's firm effort down Hugo Lloris' throat their best effort of the first half.
After the interval Toby Alderweireld headed narrowly over as Tottenham looked to stamp their authority on a game in which they had offered little in front of goal, but it was Palace who struck next.
Youngster Tyrick Mitchell did well to earn a corner which Scott Dann headed back across goal. Jordan Ayew fluffed his effort but Schlupp stole in to fire high past Lloris and hand Palace their first Premier League goal against Spurs since 2016.
