Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson will hope to call on Vicente Guaita when his side host in-form Leicester City this afternoon.
Guaita, who missed their defeat to Manchester City and Sunday’s draw at Arsenal, has returned to training following a minor injury and is expected to come in against the Foxes in place of deputy Wayne Hennessey.
"The good news is [Vicente] Guaita has trained all week," said Roy Hodgson.
He will be tasked with stopping a team who put nine past Southampton in their last Premier League game. Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez both scored hat-tricks, while James Maddison, Ben Chilwell and Youri Tielemans were also on target.
But Leicester have struggled against Hodgson’s Palace. Since the former England manager was appointed manager at Selhurst Park in 2017, Palace have won four of four meetings, scoring 13 and conceding just one.
Hodgson is expected to bring Jeffrey Schlupp back in against his former side, with Andros Townsend unlikely to recover from an injury suffered in the draw against Arsenal.
"I think we may have lost Andros Townsend which is a blow," said the Palace boss. "He felt a muscle strain against Arsenal and hasn’t trained before today [Friday].
"He was desperate to see how it went but didn’t complete the session. We’ll see tomorrow of course but I’ll be surprised [if he is available]."
Mamadou Sakho and Connor Wickham took part in light training, but will not recover in time to make Sunday's matchday squad.
