Crystal Palace vs Brighton, player ratings: Anthony Knockaert and Glenn Murray shine to leave James Tomkins floundering

Glenn Murray turns away to celebrate Brighton's opener ( Reuters )

Brighton earned a crucial three points against their fierce rivals Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

An early strike from Glenn Murray put the visitors ahead after a poor misjudgement by Palace centre-back James Tomkins.

Palace drew level moments into the second half when Andros Townsend was fouled in the penalty area, and Luka Milivojevic made no mistake from the spot.

But it was to no avail for Palace as Anthony Knockaert delivered a brilliant winner, cutting in from the right before bending a finish into the top-left corner off the post.
