Crystal Palace saw their seven-game unbeaten streak come to an end at home to Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
Marc Guehi’s late consolation goal might have made it interesting towards the end but, for the most part, Palace did not manage to convince despite the return of Eberechi Eze.
Indeed, they did not have a shot on target until the 80th minute and though they did manage to dominate the game in the second-half in terms of possession, did little to trouble Emi Martinez in the Villa goal throughout.
Patrick Vieira threw almost every attacking option he had on in an effort to try and change the game but, having conceded on the second-phase of a set-play in the 15th minute from Matt Targett, could not sustain attacks before John McGinn made sure of the three points.
