Here’s Arsenal co-chairman Josh Kroenke, speaking to Sky Sports:

"You can see, feel and hear what this means. All of the fans behind me are overcome with emotion after 22 years. If anyone deserves this, it's this group

"[We are invested] Emotionally, financially, everything. This club means the world to us. I think it took some people a few years to realise what that really meant but we have great people, players and coaches. We just have to continue providing the resources to do magical things like they did this season.

"It's incredibly special. It's a slower burner than our championships in the United States when you have the playoff system. The points system is a grind, credit to the staff, players and Mikel [Arteta] for keeping their heads on. They deserve it.

"Today is about enjoying, tomorrow we will get back to work because there is one more to play."

Arteta reveals doubts

20:20 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

What Mikel Arteta said to Sky Sports immediately after Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy.

"There were doubts. It was understanding that I was able to take them this far [to second place] but maybe someone else has to come and do the final job. But thank god we have done it! I feel a lot of joy and a little bit of belief.

"Yes, [I doubted myself]. It is part of the job. There are many things that are out of my control and that is why you need the best people around you."

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

18:46 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Now the Palace fans are filtering out and the Arsenal chants are at full volume, it’s clear there are a lot of Arsenal fans in the home seats next to the away end.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

18:31 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Stan Kroenke has just joined Josh in walking down the touchline as they then go into the Arsenal dressing room.

Imagine there’s quite the party going on in there right now.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

18:26 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Steve Parish congratulates Arsenal on winning the league and then says "give us five minutes" as he continues with the post-match thank-yous and farewells.

Oliver Glasner getting a big, and very deserved, send-off.

Arsenal player ratings

18:25 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Noni Madueke 8

Looked really sharp. Great cross for Jesus deserved to be an assist but he got his moment when firing in a well-controlled volley. Joined in with the supporters’ chants after that goal. Concern that he limped off late on.

Max Dowman 6

Got some physical treatment in the opening stages. Went down far too easily looking for a penalty and was off the pace. But his lovely flick into Martinelli led to the opening goal and he produced some eye-catching moments.

Gabriel Martinelli 8

Perfect pass in behind created Jesus’ goal having been unfortunate the striker didn’t square for him just before. Electric run put big chance on a plate for Havertz in second-half.

Gabriel Jesus 7

Frustrating early on when missing three big chances. One hit the post, the other two were wasted. Goal did eventually come, drilling in low finish at the near post. Did well to get booked in a match refereed like a pre-season fixture.

Reminder of what is to come in just under an hour has got the Arsenal fans going again.

Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

17:42 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

17:23 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

61 min: Big moment for Arsenal as Mikel Merino makes his return from injury to replace Max Dowman.

Palace then take off Wharton, Guessand on.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

17:22 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Good news for Palace fans is that Wharton is back up and running after that heavy challenge. Looked worrying when he was receiving treatment but he seems to be moving fine now.

Not the kind of scare Palace need a few days out from a European final.

Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

17:20 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

59 min: Wharton is back on the pitch, just in time to help Palace defend this latest Arsenal corner which will be taken by Madueke.

Strand Larsen shoots over after doing well to hold off Mosquera.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

17:11 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

And the party in the away end has started again. Lovely finish from Madueke, a couple of days after he was named in England's World Cup squad. Not been a bad week, has it.

Noni Madueke catches Kai Havertz’s cushioned header cleanly with a well struck volley.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

17:07 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Arsenal kit decision

16:55 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Arsenal will officially be presented with the Premier League trophy this afternoon.

The Gunners clinched a first Premier League title in 22 years on Tuesday night after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

As a result, Arsenal face Crystal Palace on the last day of the Premier League season as champions and Mikel Arteta has rung the changes at Selhurst Park for what is a stress-free fixture.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

16:52 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Jesus could have scored four in that half, but the one he did manage to finish has Arsenal in front at half-time.

All very low-key, as you'd expect with what is to come for both these sides over the next week.

The fact Arteta has basically been motionless on the touchline for most of the half tells you all you need to know.

HALF-TIME

16:51 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Crystal Palace 0-1 Arsenal

Crystal Palace 0-1 Arsenal

16:48 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

45+1 min: Martinelli nearly picks the pocket of Clyne but the Palace defender gets enough on his back pass to Henderson who then completes the clearance.

Crystal Palace 0-1 Arsenal

16:47 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

45 min: Three minutes of stoppage time.

GOAL! Crystal Palace 0-1 Arsenal | Gabriel Jesus ‘42

16:45 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

42 min: CHAMPIONS ARE AHEAD!

Gabriel Jesus, at the fourth time of asking, sneaks one it at the near post, finishing off a pass from Gabriel Martinelli.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:44 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

41 min: A couple of Arsenal penalty shouts are ignored before Madueke cuts inside and has a shot blocked. Gunners keep possession in the Palace half are eventually forced back.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:40 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

38 min: Kepa takes charge at at a Palace free-kick, coming to claim a high ball with ease.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:35 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

33 min: Palace now seeing much more of the ball, while Dowman is struggling to make much of an impact as Strand Larsen goes down far too easily in the area.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:31 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

29 min: A sustained period of Palace possession comes to an end as Munoz is penalised for a foul on Calafiori at the back post.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:30 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

28 min: Jesus and Norgaard attempt to combine in a tight space, but the latter is unable to dig out a good cross and Henderson claims the ball under no pressure.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

16:29 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

To say the players on both sides are no in a rush to get out of the shade and back onto the pitch would be an understatement.

This match has not been played at an electric pace, to put it mildly.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:27 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

25 min: It is a hot day in London, and the game is paused for a drinks break.

Some Arsenal fans have brought their water bottles with them...

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:24 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

21 min: Jesus again! Madueke picks out the Brazilian with a lovely floated cross to the back post, but the striker puts his header into the side-netting.

He could have had a hat-trick.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:17 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

15 min: Arsenal having plenty of joy behind the Palace defence, this time Martinelli is put through but is held up by Cardines and can’t get a shot away.

At the other end, Munoz thinks he has headed Palace in front but Kepa pulls off a fine save.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:13 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

11 min: Jesus, usually loves playing against Palace, is put clean through but is thwarted by Henderson.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

16:13 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Stan Kroenke in attendance at Selhurst Park this afternoon. His son Josh is an influential figure behind the scenes, but Stan is very much more in the background.

For the big occasion of the trophy lift, though, he is here as you'd expect.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:12 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

10 min: Norgaard has a shot from range but he doesn’t get hold of it and Henderson watches the ball drift wide of his post.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:07 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

5 min: Lerma mistake puts Jesus in but his effort comes back off the post and Madueke puts the rebound straight into Henderson’s arms.

First big chance of the game.

Matt Verri at Selhurst Park

16:03 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

So it's Zubimendi at right-back, with Mosquera inside him and Norgaard in midfield.

Interesting from Arteta - with doubts over Timber's fitness you'd have thought he would have wonted Mosquera to get as many minutes at full-back as possible.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal

16:03 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

1 min: Looks like Zubimendi has started at right-back for Arsenal. Was expecting Mosquera to continue there but Arteta has surprised us all.

KICK-OFF!

16:02 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Away we go!

As things stand

15:58 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Crystal Palace can finish as high as 14th or as low as 16th depending on today's result.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are in gold as Premier League champions.

HERE WE GO!

15:56 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

The teams are out at Selhurst Park.

The Arsenal players receive a guard of honour from the Crystal Palace players on the back of becoming Premier League champions.

Mikel Arteta set for Arsenal first after Premier League title triumph

15:50 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

For one day and one day only, Mikel Arteta might be able to relax on the edge of Arsenal's technical area.

That may be wishful thinking for a man who has been a picture of intensity ever since he took charge of the club at the end of 2019.

However, this is different. For the first time Arteta can survey the scene from the summit, knowing there is no further to climb. Even he might allow himself to enjoy the view.

More on that here!

No Emirates celebrations tonight

15:44 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Arsenal will not celebrate their Premier League title success at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night.

The Gunners are away at Crystal Palace on the final day of the season and will finally get their hands on the trophy.

The title was wrapped up on Tuesday night when Manchester City drew with Bournemouth, sparking huge celebrations in north London.

Tens of thousands of fans flocked to the Emirates in a remarkable outpouring of joy.

However, there will be no repeat of that on Sunday after Arsenal's match away at Palace.
