Adam Jones gives his rundown on Saturday's clash.
Win, lose or draw?
This should be an Everton win. Despite pre-season not going to plan in terms of results, Marco Silva's side have recruited well in the summer and still boast a strong attack which proved last term it can break down a strong Premier League defence. Add in a potential Moise Kean debut, and the Blues should have enough. The away win is a very attractive 7/5 with thepools.com
Who’s a good bet for first scorer?
It's hard to look past Everton's joint top scorer from last season in Richarlison, who looked sharp on his return to pre-season against Werder Bremen last week. And he's a healthy 11/2 first scorer, 2/1 anytime with thepools.com
Who’s on the naughty step?
Morgan Schneiderlin could start if Jean-Philippe Gbamin isn't deemed ready, and he has got a penchant for picking up cards.
Who’s on pens?
Gylfi Sigurdsson was the designated man last term, but his record was certainly less than ideal. It will be interesting to see if anyone else fancies the responsibility. Sigurdsson is 5/1 first scorer and 2-1 anytime.
Will The Toffees keep a clean sheet?
Crystal Palace at away is never an easy game, but Michael Keane and Yerry Mina looked very solid at the back last week and could hopefully carry that into this match. So, in short, yes. Both Teams To Score 'No' is 17/20.
